Punakha Trek

This trek is an easy way to seem a lot of different aspects of the natural world, including some of the best views of the mountains.

Day 01: Arrive at Paro, clear immigration and customs, I will meet as you exit the airport, and take you to the hotel. hotel. Orientation. Visit the National Museum of Bhutan and Paro Dzong. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Paro Valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Walk/hike to Tiger’s Nest, Taktshang Monastery. Lunch at Taktshang teahouse with its spectacular view of the famous monastery. Drive to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Thimphu valley sightseeing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Trek begins with 5 hour walk between Thimphu to Shong Pang.

Day 06: Shong Pang to Dopshingpang via Sinchula pass at 3490m where, on a clear day, you can see Phadjoding Monastery.

Day 07: Hiking through remote villages, between Dopshingpang and Chorten Ningpo, we reach the highest point in the trek, 2700m.

Day 08: A short 3 hour walk to allow for some recovery and recreation. Chorten Ningpo to Zamlingthang.

Day 09: Between Zamlingthang to Limukham, we will have a great view of the beautiful Punakha valley.

Day 10: Our trek ends with the short hike from Limukha to Chungsakha/Wangdi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Morning sightseeing of the valleys we saw during our hike, Punakha and Wangdi followed by an afternoon drive to Paro valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Drive to airport in time to check in for your early morning departure.
