Travel Requirement and Tour Price For Indian Nationals:

  1. Visitors from India can use a passport or voter ID card. Children under 18 years of age can use a birth certificate or passport, and must be accompanied by a legal guardian. 
  2. Passport size photograph is required.
  3. Travel insurance is required and should be valid for the whole duration of the trip. There is also an option to purchase domestic travel insurance from Bhutanese insurance providers at the port of entry during arrivals or we can do it for you before your arrival along with processing your permits for the Bhutan Tour:

The documents required for the Travel Insurance are as follows:

  1. Passport/Travel Visa/National ID Card
  2. COVID – 19 Travel Document (COVID – 19 Vaccine Certificate)
  3. Travel Itinerary if available.
  4. COVID-19 Test Result if additional COVID – 19 coverage is required.
  5. Baggage Details if additional Loss of Baggage cover is required.

Processing of Tourist Permit Takes a minimum of 5 working Days, so Please confirm the tour at the earliest, as sometimes we have local holidays which could delay the process.

TOURISM POLICY OF BHUTAN and Mandatory FEES:

  1. A Local Guide services are mandatory for all sites and monument visits, and travels outside Thimphu and Paro Districts. Which means that if you do not visit sites and monuments then a Guide is not mandatory in the Dzongkhags(Districts) of THIMPHU and PARO, BUT irrespective of visits to sites or monument all travels outside THIMPHU and PARO has to be mandatorily guided by a Local Certified Guide
  2. All Accommodation to be booked in Hotels of 3 star and above, OR local home stays. Both types of accommodation should be certified by the Department of Tourism,Bhutan
  3. A Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of INR 1200 Per person per night payable to the Government of Bhutan.
  4. Guests can drive in their cars and bikes, but there will be a fee of INR 4,500/per day as Green Tax.
  5. There are certain monumental sites that require entrance fee ranging from INR 500 up till INR 2000 per person
